[gUSS SAUNA]
COMPANY INFORMATION
Guss (pronounced goos) is a mobile wellness brand based in Portland, Oregon, that operates a wood-fired mobile sauna. Positioned directly along the Willamette River, the brand encourages a communal, nature-focused ritual of intense heat therapy paired with refreshing river cold plunges. Beyond the mobile sauna experience, Guss also designs and sells unique, handmade wool sauna hats engineered to keep the head cool during hot sessions.
Pulse is the sensation of the heartbeat you feel quicken beneath the heat.
A sauna hat built to keep you in the heat longer. Dense wet-felted wool shields your head from the hottest air at the top of the room, letting your body keep warming well past the point your head would normally send you out — more sweat, and a steadier walk to the cold plunge.
Part of Skein No. 02, a run of just 250 hats felted by hand in Nepal from organic New Zealand wool. Because the fibers are laid by hand, one direction at a time, no two hats share the same pattern — each is a one-of-one within its sensation, and ships with its edition number handwritten on a card.
Fit: One size, with a form-fitting crown and tapered brim. Wear it low over the ears, pulled toward the eyes, or with room for hair. The felt softens and molds to your head over time.
Construction: A single continuous piece of wet-felted wool — made with only fiber, water, soap and friction. No stitching, glue or synthetic shell.
- 100% organic New Zealand wool
- Wet-felted by hand in Nepal
- Hand-numbered edition of 250
- Hanging loop at the crown
Care: Hand wash cold with a mild soap, press (don't wring) the water out, reshape while damp and lay flat to dry away from heat. Never machine wash or tumble dry. Expect a little further felting with use as the wool settles into shape.
Ground is the sensation of coming back — settling into your body again once the round is over.

Drift is the sensation of letting go — the mind wandering and the body going weightless as the heat takes over and your shoulders drop.

Threshold is the sensation of the crossing — the moment you step out of the heat and into the cold.
