The 2PM is the sportier, more technical shape in the range. It keeps the climbing rubber and the asymmetrical fit but rebuilds around them: more padding through the ankle, a reinforced heel cup with a thicker rubber layer and a raised collar, and a squared-off toe box in place of the 1PM’s rounder one. The toe rand is pared back to something closer to foxing tape, and a rubber layer shields the lace eyelets — a direct answer to where the 1PM wore through first.
